Perhaps see if uninstalling what you have, then re-install a new download copy may help.
[There's also a retail version for a fee, with 7-day trial run, both available from same link.]
Sometimes Apple Preview can do most things adequately instead of free version Reader.
In my older Mac, no longer sees latest macOS, Adobe Reader DC (free) & tries install new
version that cannot be sustained by older Mac OS. Error reports persisted, until I found
all Reader DC parts & removed them. ~ Had to go deep; got it all. Preview works for me.
A trial run version of 'Find Any File' worked good, helped to remove problematic software.

ACROBAT READER I have a Mac Mini M2 with Ventura 13.2.1 and Safari 16.3. Just tried downloading Acrobat Reader from the Adobe site. Followed the instructions but it didn't work. The installer icon didn't even appear for me to click on. However the site said "Thank you for installing Acrobat Reader." What's the problem? JanetCato
